The B1921 and B1923 Reinforcing Pivots offer a cost-effective and durable solution for sagging or misaligned doors, transferring the load from failed hinges or inadequate hinge reinforcements to more structurally sound fastener points. Designed as full-surface reinforcing pivots, these components add years of service life to commercial and institutional door openings by taking the stress off the top hinge and shifting it to screws that are mounted in shear, preventing pull-out under heavy use.
Both pivots are constructed from heavy-duty 3/16" cold-rolled steel with a zinc-plated finish for enhanced corrosion resistance. They are tested for durability through 1,500,000 cycles and support door weights up to 300 lbs. The B1921 features a 1/2" offset to align with a 4" butt hinge pivot point, while the B1923 offers a 3/4" offset for use with 4-1/2" wide butt hinges. The symmetrical hole pattern and non-handed design simplify installation on either side of the door.
Standard package includes all required fasteners. Tamper-proof screw kits are also available separately.
