P8700/P8800 SERIES NARROW PULLMAN RIM EXIT DEVICE ROD

The Adams Rite P8800/P8700 Pullman Rim Exit Devices offer an exciting new solution for applications requiring exit devices with a 3/4" Pullman latching solution.

These Pullman Rim Exit Devices are ANSI/BHMA A156.3-2014 Grade 1 certified for the ultimate in strength and security and designed for optimal performance in high use areas. Available with an array of essential mechanical and electrification options including cylinder dogging for increased security functionality and motorized latch retraction, monitoring and alarm to provide an electrified out-of-the-box solution for integration with existing access control systems.

P8800/P8700 offer compatibility with a wide selection of products to provide a fully crafted solution. Specifically designed for retail storefronts, multi-use commercial offices, schools, medical centers and financial institutions where access control and accessibility is required and high performance is expected.

FUNCTIONS

When the door closes, the 3/4" throw deadlocking stainless steel Pullman latchbolt nests inside the strike assembly and the smaller deadlatch rests on the strike assembly activating the deadlatching feature. When the active pushbar is depressed, both the Pullman latchbolt and the smaller deadlatch are retracted, allowing the door to open. Compatible with Adams Rite 74R1 Electric Strike for fully preload capable solution.

Suitable for use on single doors, or with mullion on pairs of doors. Designed for optimal performance in high-use areas.

FEATURES

Materials: Active push bar and back bar made of extruded aluminum, available in choice of finishes.

Handing: Device is non-handed.

Push bar Length: Standard sizes: dimensioned for 30" [762mm], 36" [914.4 mm], 42" [1066.8 mm], and 48" [1219.2 mm] openings. Standard width bars can be field cut to the next smallest opening width.

Fasteners: Standard 'F' self-tapping screws. Rivnuts are provided for the P8700 only.

Projection: 2-15/16" [74.6 mm] when fully projected,1-15/16" [49.2 mm] when dogged.

Door Thickness: Suitable for all door thickness. Can be used with trim on 1-3/4" [44.5 mm] standard, up to 2-1/4" [57.2 mm]. When cylinders are required, select rim cylinder length based upon door thickness.

Stile Width: Minimum 2" [50.8 mm] stile. Fits narrow, medium, and wide stile aluminum doors.

Dogging: Standard dogging with 3/16" hex key.

Cylinders: Select any standard 1-5/32" [29.4 mm] diameter rim cylinder such as the 8736 Rim Cylinder, Available separately.

Cylinder x Fixed Pull Functions: For function 03 (Night Latch - key releases latch) select any standard 1-5/32" [29.4 mm] diameter rim cylinder such as the 8736 Rim Cylinder.

Entry Trim Functions: For entry trim function 08 (key locks/unlocks lever) or function 09 (key releases lever) select any standard 1" [25.4 mm] length, 1-5/32"[29.4 mm] diameter mortise cylinder with MS® cam such as the 4036 Mortise Cylinder. Accommodates cylinder lengths from 1" [25.4mm] to 1-1/4" [31.8 mm]. Available separately.

Strike: Horizontally adjustable strike assembly body made of Zamak 5 with hardened steel roller. Standard strike assembly suitable for centering doors in 4" jamb. Strike plate adjusts 1/4" horizontally.
