Installation & Operation

1. Review manufacturer specifications and verify door preparation requirements including door thickness, backset dimensions (2-3/8" for 8T2 or 2-3/4" for 8T3), and bore requirements.
2. Use manufacturer-provided templates to mark mounting hole locations accurately on door and frame surfaces for proper deadbolt and strike alignment.
3. Prepare door by drilling required 2-1/8" bore and routing faceplate mortise as specified in manufacturer instructions.
4. Install deadbolt assembly and secure to door per manufacturer torque specifications, ensuring proper cylinder and thumbturn alignment.
5. Install strike plate in frame mortise and adjust for proper deadbolt engagement and smooth operation throughout full throw range.
