Door thickness
- Standard lock configuration designed for doors 1 3/4" – 2 1/4" thick. NOTE: All W-series locks require the use of a (TCM) Temperature Control Module. A TCM and TCM connector are supplied standard with every order.
Installation & Operation
- Verify electrical requirements match available power supply. Confirm 24VDC at 0.18 amps or 12VDC at 0.50 amps capacity and ensure Temperature Control Module compatibility before proceeding.
- Disconnect power supply before beginning installation. Follow all applicable electrical codes and safety procedures.
- Mount the unit in the specified location ensuring door thickness is between 1-3/4" and 2-1/4" with proper 2-3/4" backset preparation and adequate clearance for wiring access.
- Route and connect wiring according to manufacturer wiring diagrams. Connect TCM and TCM connector as supplied, using appropriate wire gauge and connectors for the application.
- Configure fail-secure operation settings and integrate request-to-exit sensor functionality per application requirements and access control system specifications.
- Restore power and test all functions including normal locking/unlocking operation, request-to-exit sensor response, and integration with connected access control systems.
- Complete final inspection and document settings. Refer to manufacturer documentation for complete wiring diagrams, programming instructions, and troubleshooting.
