The Detex DCE-18312 (model V40EEX-W-LD-RWE-48-FC10) is a 48-inch weatherized rim exit device from the Value Series V40 family, equipped for delayed egress applications. This model features a 15-second egress delay, a magnetic blocker kit, and an internal pushpad switch for signal activation, making it ideal for high-security environments where delayed or controlled egress is required—without relying on a magnetic lock.

Engineered to withstand harsh outdoor conditions, this device is ideal for installations such as garden centers, amusement parks, swimming pools, psychiatric facilities, memory care centers, and fenced courtyards. The EEX-W feature includes an internal mechanical blocker, allowing the panic device to serve as the delay mechanism itself when connected to a separate logic controller (e.g., Detex 106595-1, sold separately).
