Installation & Operation

1. Review manufacturer specifications and verify door preparation requirements including door thickness of 1-3/4" standard up to 3" (except with night latch which is 2-1/2") and minimum stile width of 5-3/8" for single doors.
2. Use manufacturer-provided templates to mark mounting hole locations accurately on door and frame surfaces for proper alignment.
3. Prepare door and frame by drilling required holes and routing as specified in manufacturer instructions for rim exit device installation.
4. Install all mounting hardware including thru-bolts or wood/machine screws and secure the device to door and frame per manufacturer torque specifications.
5. Adjust operational components for proper alignment, latching, and smooth operation throughout the full range of motion with 3" projection in undogged position.
