Installation & Operation

2. For metal doors, install recommended 1/8" thick reinforcement plate along hinge edge for proper thread engagement of adjustment studs. Wood doors up to 200 pounds require no reinforcement.
3. Use manufacturer-provided templates to mark mounting hole locations accurately on door and frame surfaces, ensuring proper alignment for concealed leaf installation.
4. Install fasteners per specifications: #10-24 x 5/8" stainless steel Dril-Kwik for metal frames, #1/4-32 x 3/4" machine fasteners with adjustment studs, and #7/16-20 x 1-3/8" adjustment studs for doors.
5. Adjust operational components using the stainless steel pin and bearing system for proper alignment and smooth operation throughout the full range of motion.
6. Test hinge operation to verify proper function and make final adjustments as needed. Note: Not recommended for doors with beveled edge on hinge side. Refer to manufacturer documentation for complete installation details and custom hole patterns for nonstandard lengths.
