Keyed Entry (Single Cylinder) Function: This single cylinder handleset is keyed on the exterior with an associated locking mechanism on the inside that can quickly and easily lock or unlock the deadbolt latch. The exterior handle has a thumb plate that depresses to disengage the door latch and the interior handle features a lever or knob. Single cylinder locks are most commonly used to secure entrances to a residence or place of business.

Installation & Operation

1. Review manufacturer specifications and verify door preparation requirements including door thickness from 1-3/8" to 1-3/4", 2-1/8" cross bore, and 1" or 7/8" edge bore dimensions.
2. Use manufacturer-provided templates to mark mounting hole locations accurately on door surfaces, ensuring proper grip center spacing of 8-3/8" or 9-7/8".
3. Prepare door by drilling required holes per specifications and install the adjustable throughbolt system for secure mounting.
4. Install handleset components and adjust backset to either 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" as required for proper door frame alignment.
5. Configure latch faceplate option (round corner, square corner, or drive-in) and install strike plate for proper latching operation.
6. Test both deadbolt and latch operation to verify smooth key operation, thumbturn function, and proper lever/thumbpiece engagement throughout full range of motion.
