Keyed Entry (Single Cylinder) Function: This single cylinder handleset is keyed on the exterior with an associated locking mechanism on the inside that can quickly and easily lock or unlock the deadbolt latch. The exterior handle has a thumb plate that depresses to disengage the door latch and the interior handle features a lever or knob. Single cylinder locks are most commonly used to secure entrances to a residence or place of business.

Installation & Operation

1. Review manufacturer specifications and verify door preparation requirements including door thickness from 1-3/8" to 1-3/4", backset adjustment for 2-3/8" or 2-3/4", and cross bore of 2-1/8".
2. Use manufacturer-provided templates to mark mounting hole locations accurately on door surfaces including edge bore of 1" or 7/8" as specified.
3. Prepare door by drilling required holes and routing as specified in manufacturer instructions for the selected latch configuration.
4. Install the adjustable throughbolt system and secure the handleset to door per manufacturer torque specifications, adjusting bottom bolt position as needed.
5. Install the 5-pin Schlage C cylinder and configure the interior thumbturn and exterior thumbpiece for proper alignment and operation.
6. Test handleset operation including deadbolt engagement, latch retraction, and key operation to verify proper function. Make final adjustments as needed and refer to manufacturer documentation for complete installation details.
