Metallics NCC116 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size cable does the Metallics NCC116 clamp hold?
The NCC116 is a 1/16 inch cable clamp, so it is sized for small-diameter cable and low-voltage or bell wire runs rather than conduit. Order it by model NCC116.
2) Can I use a 1/16 inch plastic cable clamp to secure EMT or flexible conduit?
No. The NCC116 is a 1/16 inch plastic cable clamp intended for small cable, not a conduit strap. For EMT, rigid, or flex, use a one-hole or two-hole conduit strap sized to the trade size of the raceway.
3) Is the Metallics NCC116 cable clamp metal or plastic, and what color is it?
Plastic, in white. That makes it a reasonable match for white baseboard, trim, or painted drywall where a run has to stay visible but unobtrusive, and it avoids metal contact on the cable jacket.
4) Does the Metallics NCC116 come in other sizes or colors?
The NCC116 is sold as a single model: 1/16 inch, white plastic. There is no alternate size or color choice under that part number, so if you need a larger cable capacity you are looking at a different clamp model.
