1) What pipe does the Watts 3515B-10 quick connect union fit?
The 3515B-10 is a 1/2 inch CTS union connector, quick connect on both the inlet and the outlet. CTS means copper tube size, so it takes 1/2 inch nominal CTS tubing (copper, CPVC, PEX of the same outside diameter) pushed into each end. Both ports are the same size, so it is a straight coupling, not a reducer. Metric equivalent is 15 mm.
2) Can I use this Watts union connector on a hot water line?
Yes. The 3515B-10 union connector is rated to 180 F (82 C) at a maximum working pressure of 250 psi (17.2 bar), which covers domestic hot water distribution. The seal is an EPDM O-ring, which is the normal elastomer for potable hot and cold water service.
3) Is the Watts 3515B-10 lead free for potable water?
