Metallics SP0002 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Metallics SP0002 and what size screwdriver tip is it?
The Metallics SP0002 is a 1/4 inch replacement tip for 3 to 4-5/8 inch sawtooth screwholding drivers. It is sold under part number SP0002 and is the tip itself, not a complete driver, so you need the sawtooth handle it fits.
2) Will the SP0002 tip fit my sawtooth screwholder if the blade is longer than 4-5/8 inches?
No. The SP0002 tip is specified for 3 to 4-5/8 inch sawtooth drivers only. If your screwholder blade falls outside that 3 to 4-5/8 inch range, this tip is the wrong replacement part.
3) Is the Metallics SP0002 a Phillips or a slotted tip?
The SP0002 is a 1/4 inch slotted (flat) tip, which is what the 1/4 designation refers to on a sawtooth screwholding driver, sized to the screw slot width rather than a Phillips point number.
4) Does the Metallics SP0002 come in more than one size or option?
Only one configuration is offered: model SP0002, the 1/4 inch tip for 3 to 4-5/8 inch sawtooth drivers. There are no finish or length choices to specify when ordering.
