Atkore Allied Tube & Conduit SC250-ICRKON 2-1/2" EMT Set Screw Connector With Insulated Throat

It's a 2-1/2 inch EMT set screw connector. It terminates 2-1/2 inch electrical metallic tubing only, so for other trade sizes you need the matching size in the SC set screw connector line.

On the 2-1/2 inch size the screws are hex head. Allied uses pre-set and staked tri-head screws on the 1/2 inch through 2 inch connectors and switches to hex head screws on 2-1/2 inch through 4 inch, so plan on a hex driver or socket rather than a tri-head bit for this one.

The SC250-ICRKON is concrete tight when taped. That means it is acceptable for concrete encasement provided you tape the joint at the connector body during the pour. Untaped, it should not be treated as concrete tight.

The insulated throat gives the conductors a smooth non-metallic bearing surface where they leave the connector, which protects the insulation on large conductors being pulled into a box. On a 2-1/2 inch run the conductors are heavy and the pull tension is high, which is exactly where an uninsulated throat tends to nick jacket. Ordering the ICRKON version saves you adding a separate bushing at the enclosure.

Heavy steel walls. That is the construction Allied specifies for this set screw connector, which is what commercial and industrial specs usually call for when they exclude die cast fittings on larger trade sizes.

Set screw connectors of this style land in a knockout and are secured with a locknut on the inside of the enclosure. Confirm what ships with the fitting before you head to the job, and pick up 2-1/2 inch steel locknuts if your box prep needs them.
