Metallics MWG2WS06 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the MWG2WS06 Strap-It an electrical tie down or a general cargo strap?
Metallics catalogs the MWG2WS06 Strap-It on the electrical side of its line, and it is used the way an electrician uses it: bundling coils of wire, conduit, flex, pipe, and tools in the van or on a cart. It is a wrap-and-hold strap, not a ratcheting cargo tie down with hooks, so for load securement on a trailer you want a rated ratchet strap instead.
2) Is MWG2WS06 one strap or the two-pack part number?
MWG2WS06 is the two-pack part number from Metallics. Ordering one unit gets you two 6 foot green straps, not one.
3) How long is each strap in the Metallics MWG2WS06 pack?
Each of the two straps measures 6 feet. If you need shorter bundles, the strap is cut-free and simply wraps on itself, so a single 6 foot length can take several turns around a smaller bundle.
4) Is the Metallics MWG2WS06 a green color-coded strap for keeping circuits or trades sorted?
Yes, the MWG2WS06 straps are green, which is what makes them useful for color coding bundles by circuit, trade, or crew when several strap colors are in use on the same job.
5) Do I need to order anything else to use the Metallics MWG2WS06 straps?
No additional hardware is needed. The pack is two complete 6 foot straps that wrap and fasten to themselves, so there are no buckles, clips, or anchors to buy separately.
