Metallics ALR24 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the Metallics ALR24 rake head aluminum or steel?
Aluminum. The ALR24 is an aluminum landscape rake, so it stays lighter in the hand than a comparable steel head and will not rust out the way bare steel does when it is left wet. The trade-off is that aluminum tines flex more than steel, so it suits spreading soil, gravel, mulch and leveling rather than prying at compacted or rocky ground.
2) What is the Metallics part number for the 24 inch aluminum landscape rake?
Order it as Metallics ALR24. That is the manufacturer part number for the 24 inch wide aluminum landscape rake, and it is the single model offered under that designation.
