1) What size and thread type are the openings on the ASC 3 inch black malleable iron wye?
All three openings are 3 inch FPT, so it takes standard tapered female pipe threads on every branch. Threads are cut to ASME B1.20.1 (NPT), which means it mates with ordinary threaded black steel or malleable iron pipe of the same size. No reducing branch here, it is a straight 3 x 3 x 3 pattern.
