Metallics CATJ12 3/4" Cable Cat J-Hook (Cat12)

The CATJ12 is a 3/4 inch cable cat J-hook, so it is sized to cradle a 3/4 inch bundle of low-voltage cable. On a data drop that works out to a small bundle of Category cable rather than a full tray run, so if you are supporting a heavy multi-cable backbone you want a larger hook size instead.

Order it as Metallics CATJ12, also designated Cat12. That one part number covers the 3/4 inch cable cat J-hook, so there is no separate size or finish code to add when you specify it.

J-hooks such as the CATJ12 are the usual choice for suspended low-voltage cable runs where you are supporting modest bundles at intervals, instead of building continuous pathway. They cradle the cable with a wide radius so the jacket is not crushed the way a tie-wrapped run on a single point can be. Cable tray or basket is the better answer when you are carrying a large backbone bundle, need a defined pathway for code or for future adds, or want the cable fully contained. For a 3/4 inch bundle of Category cable, the hook is the lighter and faster install.
