Spears 805-007BC 3/4" PVC Schedule 80 FPT Tee
The Spears 805-007BC is a 3/4" PVC Schedule 80 Tee with FPT (female pipe thread) connections on all three ports, engineered for threaded PVC piping systems that demand a heavier-wall, higher-pressure-rated fitting than standard Schedule 40 components. Molded from PVC for corrosion and chemical resistance, this Tee provides a reliable branch connection point for distributing flow in three directions within threaded pipe runs.
Key Features
- Trade Size: 3/4" connections sized for standard 3/4" threaded PVC pipe runs.
- Durable Construction: PVC material resists corrosion, rust, and chemical degradation common in metallic fittings.
- Schedule 80 Rating: Heavier-wall Schedule 80 construction for applications requiring greater pressure tolerance than Schedule 40.
- FPT Connections: Female pipe thread (FPT) ports on all three openings allow direct threaded assembly without solvent welding, simplifying installation and future serviceability.
- Tee Configuration: Three-port branch design directs flow in a perpendicular pattern for efficient piping layouts.

Spears 805-007BC – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Does the Spears 805-007BC tee need to be solvent welded or is it threaded?
All three ports on the 805-007BC are FPT, female pipe thread, so it assembles with threaded pipe or male-threaded nipples. No solvent cement, no cure time, and the joint can be broken later for service. Use a PTFE tape or a thread sealant rated for PVC and hand-tighten plus a turn or two; do not overtorque a plastic female thread.
2) Will a 3/4 inch Schedule 80 threaded tee work on Schedule 40 PVC pipe?
Yes. Threads are NPT, so a 3/4 inch Sch 80 FPT tee mates with 3/4 inch male NPT pipe threads regardless of whether the pipe itself is Sch 40 or Sch 80. Keep in mind Sch 40 pipe is thin-walled for threading, so the system pressure rating gets set by the weakest part of the run, usually the threaded Sch 40 pipe, not the fitting.
3) Can I use this PVC tee on a hot water line?
No. PVC is a cold-water and ambient-temperature material; hot water service calls for CPVC. Spears makes the same Schedule 80 threaded fitting pattern in CPVC, so if your line runs hot, buy the CPVC version of the tee rather than this PVC one.
4) Why pick a Schedule 80 PVC tee over Schedule 40 on a 3/4 inch line?
Wall thickness. The 805-007BC is Schedule 80, a heavier wall than Sch 40, which is what you want when the run is threaded and under pressure. Threading cuts into the wall, so the extra material is doing real work. If the line is drain, waste, vent or low-pressure irrigation, Sch 40 is the normal choice and costs less to build.
5) Is a PVC tee OK for chemical feed lines instead of a metal fitting?
That is one of the reasons to specify it. PVC resists corrosion, rust and chemical attack that eats brass and galvanized steel, which is why the 805-007BC gets used in chemical-resistant fluid handling and process piping. Check your specific chemical and concentration against a PVC compatibility chart before you commit the whole run.
6) What is the exact part number for the 3/4 inch Spears Sch 80 PVC female threaded tee?
Spears 805-007BC. The 805 prefix is the Schedule 80 PVC threaded tee pattern and 007 is the 3/4 inch size, with all three outlets FPT.
7) Can I use this tee to add a branch to an existing threaded PVC line without cutting in new cement joints?
Yes, that is a normal use for it. Cut the line, thread or add male adapters at the cut ends, and the three FPT ports let you land the run and the new branch as mechanical joints. Because nothing is glued, the tee can be unthreaded later for repair or to reroute the branch, which is why it shows up on retrofit and pipe repair work.
