Thomas & Betts EFC038-2 3/8IN LTFLEX COND PVC BLU

It's 3/8 inch trade size liquidtight flexible conduit with a PVC jacket, in blue. The 3/8 inch size is the one commonly used for equipment whips and short motor or control connections where a larger trade size won't bend into the space.

The EFC038-2 is sold as conduit only. To terminate it you order 3/8 inch liquidtight connectors separately, straight or 90 degree depending on how the run enters the box or enclosure, and you need one at each end of the whip.

The PVC jacket on the EFC038-2 is what makes it liquidtight, so it's the type used where the run is exposed to moisture, washdown, or weather, as long as the connectors at each end are liquidtight fittings too. Where you only need flexibility indoors and dry, plain flexible metal conduit is the cheaper choice; where you need chemical or oil exposure beyond what a PVC jacket handles, a different jacket material is the one to specify.

The EFC038-2 comes with a blue PVC jacket. Color doesn't change how the conduit installs, but crews often use a non-standard color like blue to color code a circuit type or system so it can be identified at a glance in a panel room or on a rooftop full of gray whips.
