The E-A-Rsoft Yellow Neons carry a Noise Reduction Rating of 33 dB, at the top of the 29-33 range 3M publishes for the family. That is the highest-attenuating end of disposable foam plugs, which is why they get spec'd for demo work, powder-actuated tools, generator rooms and mechanical spaces where crews are in and out all day.

Corded is what the Yellow Neons are, with a blue vinyl cord joining the pair. The cord means the plugs hang around the neck between uses instead of going in a pocket, so workers moving in and out of a noisy area all shift keep the same pair. Uncorded is the better pick when the plugs go in once at the start of a shift, or where a dangling cord could snag near rotating equipment. These are also not metal detectable, so if you are supplying a food plant or any line running metal detection, corded foam like this is the wrong product for that area.

Single use. The Yellow Neons are polyurethane roll-down foam and are not reusable, so they get thrown out at the end of a shift rather than washed. They are also not moisture resistant, which matters if your crews sweat heavily or work wet, those pairs get changed out sooner. If you want something that survives cleaning and repeat wear, you want a reusable flanged plug, not disposable foam.

Regular is the size here, and it is the size that fits most ear canals, which is why it is the standard stocking size for a mixed crew. The plug is tapered and slow recovery foam, so it is rolled down thin, inserted, and then expands to seal the canal. If you have workers who have never been able to get a good seal with a standard foam plug, that is the case for adding a small size to the storeroom, but you would not build a facility program around it.

Each pair comes in its own poly bag, and there is no dispenser option for this configuration. Poly bagging is what you want when plugs are handed out at a gate, tool crib or safety trailer, since the pair stays clean until it is opened and there is no shared bin for dirty hands to reach into. If your plan is a wall-mount dispenser at the shop door, this is not the item for it, you want a bulk uncased plug that feeds a dispenser.

The 11033 ships 2000 pairs per case. The carton measures 9.25 by 12 inches on the stated dimensions and weighs 2.361 lbs, so it is a light, easy carton to shelve, this is foam and poly bags rather than anything dense. For a facility buying by the case, 2000 pairs is a full-year supply for a modest crew and a quarter or two for a large one.

High-visibility yellow on the plug with a blue cord is a compliance-checking feature as much as a styling one. A supervisor or safety walk can tell from across a bay whether plugs are actually in ears, and the contrasting cord shows at the collar. On sites where hearing protection is enforced by observation rather than paperwork, that visibility is the reason crews get spec'd neon over a beige plug.
