A nonmetallic old-work box mounts to finished drywall with wings and is for retrofit cut-ins. If the wall is already closed, this is not the box.
7) Will a standard switch or receptacle plate cover the CW12-25L?
Yes. At 3 x 2 inches across the face it is the standard single-gang device opening, so any standard single-gang toggle or duplex wall plate lands on it. The finish is plain silver steel, since the box is meant to be buried behind the plate.
