Metallics BT6ER – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What part number do I order for Metallics red buried electric marking tape?
The part number is BT6ER from Metallics. That designation covers the 6 inch by 1,000 foot red buried electric line tape, and it is the only configuration under that number.
2) Can I use this red tape over a buried water or gas line instead?
No. The BT6ER is printed and colored for buried electric lines, and marking a water or gas run with red tape tells the next crew the wrong thing. Use the color and legend that matches the utility you're burying, and keep this roll for power.
