Polypropylene, not metal. That makes the 50-052 a non-conductive, non-corroding fastener, which is why it turns up on electrical work in masonry and block where a steel anchor would rust or create a path to a conductor. It also means it is a light-duty anchor: the plastic body expands against the hole as the screw drives, so holding power comes from the base material, not from the anchor's own strength.

They pack 50 to the inner box and 500 to the outer carton, so a full case is ten inner boxes. The outer carton measures 13.5 x 6.9 x 9.5 inches. Weight runs 4.38 lbs per 1000 pieces, so a 500-piece carton of anchors is a little over two pounds of product.

No screws. The 50-052 is the anchor only, so you supply the fastener that drives into it. Size the screw to the 0.338 inch anchor body and keep it long enough to reach past your fixture into the full 1-1/2 inch anchor length without bottoming out.

The polypropylene body won't rust or corrode, which is the usual reason this style is picked over a steel anchor in damp block walls, exterior masonry, and washdown areas. Pull-out capacity still depends entirely on the base material you are setting it into, so it is a light-duty mount for conduit straps, boxes, and brackets rather than structural load.
