Metallics MWRC916 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the Metallics 9/16 wire rope clip galvanized for outdoor or damp use?
It is galvanized, which is the usual finish for wire rope clips used outdoors, in damp locations, or on exterior support and guy applications. For continuous saltwater exposure, stainless clips are the normal choice instead.
2) How many wire rope clips do I need per termination on 9/16 inch cable?
Wire rope clips are installed in multiples, never one alone, with the saddle on the live end of the rope and the U-bolt on the dead end. For 9/16 inch rope, plan on a set of clips per termination spaced several rope diameters apart per the rigging practice on your job, so order the MWRC916 in quantity rather than singly.
3) What part number do I order for a 9/16 galvanized wire rope clip from Metallics?
Order Metallics MWRC916. That is the single model covered, a 9/16 inch galvanized wire rope clip, and it is the part number to quote on a submittal or purchase order.
