American Standard Aspirations 60 x 32-Inch Integral Apron Bathtub With Right-Hand Drain - AMS-2964102

No drain is included. The Aspirations 60 x 32 apron tub requires a white drain and slotted overflow, ordered separately. The slotted overflow is the one to specify if you want the extra soaking depth, it adds 2 inches of water depth over a standard overflow. Budget for that trim on every unit you order, otherwise the tub lands on site and cannot be set.

Right-hand drain. Stand at the open apron side facing the tub and the drain and waste end are on your right. American Standard also builds Aspirations in a left-hand drain version, so match the rough-in on your drawing before ordering, a right-hand tub in a left-hand alcove is a re-plumb, not an adjustment.

It is built for a recessed three-wall alcove at 60 inches long by 32 inches wide. The apron is integral, so the finished front face is part of the tub, no separate skirt to build. If your alcove is framed for a 60 x 30 opening, this one is two inches too wide, American Standard also makes the Aspirations in 30 inch and 36 inch widths on the same 60 inch length.

Yes, a 3-sided tile and water retention flange is molded in, which is what you want in a three-wall alcove, the backer and tile lap over the flange and the joint stays dry. It also has leveling feet, so you can set it plumb on an out-of-level slab or subfloor without shimming the whole base.

Acrylic with fiberglass reinforcement behind it. The acrylic is the wearing surface, stain and chip resistant, and the fiberglass backing carries the structure. Finish is glossy white and nonporous, so it cleans with normal bath cleaners and does not absorb soap film the way a porous surface does.

American Standard headrest pillow 7181000, sold separately. It sits above the molded lumbar support area of the Aspirations tub. The lumbar contour is built into the tub shell itself, the pillow is purely an add-on for comfort.

The bathing floor is textured to help prevent slipping, molded in rather than an applied strip, so there is nothing to peel or discolor between tenants. Combined with the nonporous glossy white acrylic surface, it is a straightforward unit to turn over and clean.

One finish only, glossy white. The orderable model number is 2964102.02, and the .02 suffix is American Standard's white code. If you are standardizing a building on white fixtures, this matches the standard white the rest of the American Standard line uses.
