American Standard 710383-101.2130A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the American Standard Axis wall jamb cap and what does it do on a neo angle shower door?
It is the trim cap that covers the wall jamb on an American Standard Axis neo angle shower door, hiding the jamb channel and the fasteners where the enclosure meets the wall. It is a cosmetic/finish part, not a structural or sealing component, and it ships as a set of 2, which is what a neo angle enclosure needs (one at each wall).
2) Do I get one cap or a pair with part 710383-101?
Two. The Axis wall jamb cap is sold as a set of 2, so a single order covers both wall jambs on a neo angle enclosure. If you only broke or lost one, you will still receive the pair.
3) I manage apartments and need a replacement trim piece for a damaged shower enclosure jamb. Is this the right part to order?
Only if the enclosure is an American Standard Axis neo angle unit. This is the wall jamb cap for that specific model, ordered as 710383-101 in Silver Shine, and it comes two to a set so you can refresh both walls at once. Cracked or discolored caps are a common cosmetic repair and this replaces them without touching the glass or the jamb itself.
