American Standard 710379-101.2130A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly comes in the American Standard Axis Square shower door screw kit?
The kit is a full fastener pack for an Axis Square shower door: 8 wall plugs, 8 screws in 4x35, 6 in 4x12, 12 in 4x8, plus 13 screw caps and 1 clear screw cap. So you get the anchors, three screw lengths and the covers to finish the heads in one part number rather than sourcing them separately.
2) I stripped a screw on my Axis Square shower enclosure - is this the right replacement part?
Yes, this is the American Standard replacement fastener kit for the Axis Square shower door, ordered as 710379-101.2130A. It covers the three screw sizes used on that enclosure (4x35, 4x12 and 4x8) along with wall plugs and caps, so a single lost or stripped fastener is covered no matter which point on the frame it came from.
3) What finish are the screw caps on the American Standard Axis Square screw kit?
The kit ships in Silver Shine, which is the one finish it is made in. The 13 screw caps carry that finish so the covered heads match the Axis Square frame; the 14th cap in the pack is clear, for the point where a silver cap would show against glass.
4) Do I need to buy wall anchors separately to install an Axis Square shower door?
No. Eight wall plugs are included in the kit alongside the 8 longer 4x35 screws, which are the wall-fixing pair used to anchor the profiles. The shorter 4x12 and 4x8 screws are for the frame and hardware connections and do not take plugs.
5) Will this American Standard screw kit work on a shower door from another brand?
Treat it as an Axis Square part. It is sold as the Axis Square shower door screw kit, and the screw lengths, plug diameters and cap profiles are matched to that frame. If you are repairing a different enclosure, source the fastener kit for that model rather than substituting this one.
6) Is this a complete hardware kit or just the screws?
Fasteners and finishing pieces only. You get screws in three sizes, wall plugs and the screw caps. Hinges, handles, seals and glass are not part of this kit, so a full door rebuild needs those ordered separately.
