American Standard A923654-0070A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is American Standard A923654 the battery holder for a Selectronic faucet, or is it the faucet itself?
A923654-0070A is the battery holder component for American Standard Selectronic proximity faucets, not a complete faucet. If you are replacing a dead power source or a cracked holder on a sensor lavatory faucet, this is the part. If you need the faucet, order the faucet assembly instead.
2) Does the faucet mount on a 4 inch centerset deck, and is the deck plate included?
Mounting is 4 inch centerset on cast brass construction. The deck plate is not included, and neither is the mixing valve or remote control, so those get ordered separately for a complete install.
3) Will this work on a Selectronic faucet that is wired to AC power?
The Selectronic electronic faucets run on either DC battery power or AC permanent power, so a faucet converted to or installed on AC transformer power does not draw from the battery holder. Use this part on installations running on battery power.
4) What water pressure and supply connection does the Selectronic faucet this battery holder serves use?
The faucet is rated for a water pressure range of 20 to 125 psi and ships with a factory-installed stainless steel flex hose, 15 inches long, with a 3/8 inch compression connection. An integral in-line strainer is built in to keep debris out of the solenoid.
5) Is this part suitable for a high-traffic public restroom?
Yes. The Selectronic faucet platform it belongs to is vandal resistant, and the sensor and electronic controls are fully enclosed and water resistant, which is what you want in school, stadium, and airport washrooms where fixtures get abused and splashed down.
6) What finish does the A923654 battery holder come in?
It ships with no finish applied, since the holder sits below the deck out of sight. There is a single orderable version, A923654-0070A.
