American Standard Cadet 3 Chair Height Round Toilet Bowl - AMS-3717B001

The Cadet 3 chair height round bowl, model 3717B001, is a bowl only. A matching Cadet 3 tank and the seat are separate orders. If you are replacing a complete fixture, plan on sourcing the tank in the same finish so the china matches.

Round front is the shorter option and is the right call when the space in front of the fixture is tight, such as a half bath or a unit where the door swing clears the bowl by an inch or two. This Cadet 3 bowl is round front and measures 26.818 inches long overall. An elongated bowl typically projects a couple of inches further and is preferred where floor space allows.

Two china colors: White, ordered as 3717B001.020, and Bone, ordered as 3717B001.021. The suffix after the decimal is the color code, so specify it on the purchase order or you risk a mismatch against an existing tank.

American Standard classifies the Cadet 3 as a residential fixture, and it is a non-luxury line item. It is a reasonable fit for apartments, single-family rentals, and light-duty multi-family work. For a high-traffic public restroom, a flushometer-style commercial bowl is the better specification.

Two things work in its favor for turnovers. The EverClean surface is fired into the china to resist stain and odor-causing buildup, and the PowerWash rim directs water around the full circumference on every flush to scrub the bowl. The 9 by 8 inch water surface also covers more of the bowl interior, which keeps waste off dry china. It is vitreous china throughout.

This bowl belongs to American Standard's Cadet family, so it shares the styling and the White and Bone china colors used across that line. If you are standardizing, order the same color code on every unit, .020 for White or .021 for Bone, and keep the bowl shape consistent so seats are interchangeable between units.
