American Standard Cadet PRO Extra Tall Height Elongated Toilet Bowl Only - AMS-3517T101

Bowl only. The Cadet PRO extra tall height elongated bowl ships without a tank, and it pairs with a Cadet PRO tank ordered separately. If you're replacing a whole fixture, budget for both pieces plus the tank-to-bowl hardware that comes with the tank.

The bowl is an extra-tall 19 inch bowl, which is above the usual 16-1/2 to 17 inch comfort/right height rim range and well above a 15 inch standard bowl. That extra couple of inches makes sitting and standing easier for tall users and for residents with mobility limits, which is why property managers spec it into accessible units. Note the 19 inch figure is the bowl itself; seat thickness adds to the final seating height.

Check your clearance first. The bowl measures 29.063 inches long overall, and an elongated bowl projects roughly 2 inches further into the room than a round front. In a tight powder room or a unit bath where the door swing or a vanity crowds the fixture, that extra projection is the thing that bites. If the space won't take it, order a round front bowl instead.

Only if the existing tank is a Cadet PRO tank matched to this bowl. The 3517T101 is sold as a bowl to pair with a Cadet PRO tank, and tank-to-bowl bolt spacing and the flush valve outlet vary between American Standard families, so a tank off a different series is not a safe carryover. Replacing a cracked bowl under an older non-Cadet PRO tank usually means buying the pair.

An elongated seat. The Cadet PRO extra tall bowl is elongated, so a round front seat won't cover it. Seats are not included with the bowl, so add one to the order.

EZ-Install tools with color-matched bowl caps are included, so the closet bolt covers match the china. You still supply the wax ring or waxless seal, the supply line, and the seat. The tank, tank bolts and fill/flush valves come with the separately ordered Cadet PRO tank.

The trapway is 2-1/8 inches, which is larger than the 2 inch trapway on many entry level bowls and moves waste and paper through with less tendency to clog. Combined with the EverClean antimicrobial glaze that inhibits bacteria, mold and mildew growth on the surface, it holds up in high traffic restrooms. One caution for spec work: American Standard classifies the Cadet PRO as a residential line, so if your job requires a commercial-rated fixture, verify that against the drawing before ordering.

White only, part number 3517T101.020. If you're matching a bank of existing fixtures in a building, white is the standard and the .020 suffix is the color code to quote against.

Vitreous china, with an EverClean antimicrobial glaze fired into the surface. Ordinary bathroom cleaners are fine; the antimicrobial property is in the glaze rather than a coating that wears off, and it suppresses bacteria, mold and mildew on the surface rather than doing anything to the water.
