American Standard states the Champion PRO meets Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for use and accessibility, and the chair-height bowl measures 17 inches tall including the seat. One caveat for a spec job: that 17 inches counts the seat, and the seat is not included, so the seat you pair with it changes the finished height slightly. Note also that American Standard classes this model as residential, so for a public facility check it against your specifier's fixture schedule.

No seat. The Champion PRO ships less seat, so you order an elongated seat separately. What does come in the carton is the chrome finish trip lever and bowl caps color-matched to the china. Budget the seat into every unit if you are buying for a turn or a multi-unit rollout.

1.6 gallons per flush (6.0 liters), the full federal maximum rather than a high efficiency 1.28. American Standard rates it at a 1,000 gram MaP score, the highest rating the flush performance test awards. For a property manager dealing with repeat plugs and callbacks on older fixtures, that combination is the argument for this bowl. If your jurisdiction or a green building program requires 1.28 gpf, this is not the model.

Elongated. The Champion PRO bowl is an elongated shape, so a round front seat will not cover it. Order an elongated seat, and if the toilet is going into a bone or linen colored bowl, match the seat color as well since the bowl caps are color matched but the seat is not supplied.

Three china colors: White (211AA004.020), Bone (211AA004.021), and Linen (211AA004.222). Bowl caps are color matched to the china on each, and the trip lever is chrome across all three. If you are standardizing restrooms across a property, White is the usual match for existing fixtures; Bone and Linen exist to match older colored china rather than to be a design choice.

Taller. It is a chair height bowl at 17 inches including the seat, against roughly 15 inches for a standard height toilet. That extra couple of inches is what makes it easier to sit and stand for older residents, and it is why this bowl gets specified in senior housing and accessible units. If you are mixing it into a building with standard height fixtures, expect a visible difference at the seat.

Three things beyond the carton. An elongated seat, since the toilet ships less seat. A wax ring or waxless seal plus closet bolts for the flange. And a supply line with a stop, if the existing one is not being reused. The chrome trip lever, fill valve and color matched bowl caps are already in the box, so those are not separate line items.

EverClean is an antimicrobial treatment fired into the china surface that inhibits growth of stain and odor causing bacteria, mold and mildew on the surface itself. It cuts how fast staining sets in between cleanings, which is why it shows up in high traffic and hospitality washrooms. It does not sanitize the fixture and it does not replace a cleaning routine.

Metal on both. American Standard specifies a metal trip lever and a metal shank fill valve on the Champion PRO, which is the difference that matters if you have been replacing snapped plastic handles on rental units. The lever is finished in chrome.

Vitreous china, the standard fired and glazed ceramic body for tank and bowl. The glaze is what makes the surface non porous and cleanable, and it carries the EverClean treatment. Vitreous china chips rather than dents, so protect the bowl rim during install and set the tank bolts snug, not gorilla tight.
