American Standard M964324-0070A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) My Colony kitchen faucet leaks at the base of the swivel spout - is this the part I need?
Leaking where the spout meets the faucet body is usually the spout O-rings, and that is exactly what this Colony spout seal kit replaces. The silicone grease packed with it goes on the new seals before the spout is slid back down over the body, so you don't need to buy lubricant separately.
2) Will this seal kit fit any American Standard faucet, or only Colony?
It is the Colony spout seal kit. Match your faucet to the Colony line before ordering; other American Standard families use their own spout seal kits and the O-ring diameters are not interchangeable across series.
3) Do I need anything else to rebuild a Colony faucet spout besides this kit?
For a spout that only weeps at the base, this kit covers it, seals plus the grease to seat them. If the faucet is also dripping from the outlet, that's the cartridge or valve seats, not the spout seals, and you'd order that repair part separately.
4) Is this a good item for a property maintenance shop to stock?
Yes. Colony is one of the most common builder-grade faucet lines in apartments and hotels, and base leaks at the swivel spout are the usual failure. Stocking the M964324-0070A kit lets a tech fix the leak on site instead of replacing the whole faucet.
