Yes. The Colony 221DB004 is built specifically for a 10-inch rough-in, meaning the closet flange centerline sits 10 inches off the finished wall. That is the older rough-in you find in a lot of pre-1970s housing stock. If your flange measures the standard 12 inches instead, this bowl will sit too far off the wall and leave a gap behind the tank; you want the 12-inch rough version of the Colony in that case. Measure from the finished wall surface, not the baseboard, to the center of the closet bolts.

No seat is included. The Colony 221DB004 ships as a less-seat toilet, so you order a round front seat separately. It does come with the color-matched bowl caps and the trip lever, so those are not extras you need to chase down. Make sure the seat you pick is round front and not elongated, or it will overhang the bowl.

Round front. That is the shorter bowl, and combined with the 10-inch rough-in it is the configuration that fits tight half-baths and older buildings where an elongated bowl would crowd the door swing or the vanity. If you are replacing an elongated bowl, expect to lose a couple of inches of bowl projection.

The Colony 221DB004 flushes at 1.6 gpf / 6.0 Lpf, which is the standard full-flush volume most plumbing specs call for. It is not a high-efficiency 1.28 gpf fixture, so if the drawing or a rebate program requires HET, this one does not meet it. For older drain lines with marginal carry, the full 1.6 gallons is often what you want.

Two colors: Bone (221DB004.021) and Linen (221DB004.222). Both are the same bowl and tank, so if you are matching a lavatory or tub already in the room, pick the color code and the rest of the configuration stays put. The bowl caps and trip lever are color-matched to the china.

Standard height, sometimes called standard bowl height, so the seat sits lower than a chair-height fixture. If you are outfitting a unit where an older or less mobile tenant needs an easier sit-to-stand, this is not the bowl for that job; look for a right height or comfort height model instead.

It is a residential-rated fixture, so its natural home is apartments, single family, and multi-family units rather than a high-traffic public restroom. Property managers standardizing across a building of older units with 10-inch roughs get a lot of mileage out of it, since it drops into the existing flange without moving the drain. For a heavily used public restroom, a commercial-rated fixture is the right call.

The tank and bowl are vitreous china, the glazed ceramic used for its strength and its non-porous surface, which is what keeps cleaning easy over a long service life.
