American Standard 4061128.222 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the American Standard 4061128 come with a bowl, or is it tank only?
Tank only. The 4061128 Colony/Evolution 2 tank ships without the bowl and without a seat, so both have to be ordered separately. If you are replacing a cracked tank on an existing Colony or Evolution 2 two-piece toilet, that is exactly what this part is for.
2) What colors is the American Standard 4061128 tank available in, and how do I order to match my existing bowls?
Three colors: White (4061128.02), Bone (4061128.021), and Linen (4061128.222). Match the suffix to the bowl you already have, since American Standard color codes run across the fixture line. For a property with mixed vintages, pull the suffix off the underside of the existing tank lid or the bowl before ordering.
3) How much water does this American Standard tank flush per use?
1.28 gallons per flush (4.8 litres), which is the high-efficiency rate, about 20 percent less water than a standard 1.6 gpf toilet. It will not convert a 1.6 gpf bowl into a 1.28 gpf fixture on its own, since the bowl is engineered around the flush volume; pair it with the matching Colony or Evolution 2 bowl.
4) What flush valve size does the Colony/Evolution 2 rough tank use?
A 2 inch flush valve. The larger valve dumps the 1.28 gallons faster for a stronger flush, which matters in apartments and other higher-traffic washrooms where a 1.28 gpf fixture has to clear in one go. Replacement flappers and seals need to be the 2 inch type, not the older 1-1/2 inch size.
5) What material is this toilet tank made of?
Vitreous china, the same glazed ceramic used on the bowl. It cleans with standard washroom chemicals and will not stain or discolor the way a plastic tank can, but it is brittle, so handle it on the pallet and do not overtighten the tank-to-bowl bolts.
6) Where is the American Standard 4061128 tank made?
Mexico. That is the stated country of origin, which is the detail government and institutional buyers need for domestic-preference and procurement paperwork.
