Anything mounting in the left-hand hole has to suit a 1-3/8 inch opening.

The extra hole measures 1-3/8 inches (35 mm) in diameter, which is the standard opening for a deck-mount soap dispenser or a sensor eye. Check the shank diameter on the accessory you plan to mount before you order it.
