American Standard M907897-2430A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What finishes does the American Standard M907897 escutcheon come in?
Six: Chrome (M907897-0020A), Polished Nickel (M907897-0130A), Matte Black (M907897-2430A), Legacy Bronze (M907897-2780A), Brushed Nickel (M907897-2950A), and Brushed Cool Sunrise (M907897-GN00A). Order by the suffix, since the base number is the same across all of them and only the suffix identifies the finish.
2) I manage apartments and need to match the trim on existing American Standard faucets. How do I pick the right one?
Match the finish suffix on the faucet you already have. The M907897 escutcheon is sold in Chrome, Polished Nickel, Brushed Nickel, Matte Black, Legacy Bronze and Brushed Cool Sunrise, and American Standard uses the same suffix codes across a faucet line, so a faucet ending -2950A takes the -2950A Brushed Nickel plate. Because it's a cover plate rather than a working part, confirm the faucet model calls for the M907897 plate before ordering a batch.
3) Does the M907897 escutcheon include the faucet valve or cartridge?
No. It's a finish escutcheon only, the decorative plate at the faucet. Any valve body, cartridge, stem, handle or mounting nut has to be ordered separately by its own American Standard part number.
