American Standard 4503115.002 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the American Standard 4503115 soap dispenser fit a thick granite countertop?
The 4503115 deck-mounted soap dispenser mounts through counters up to 1-1/2 inches (38 mm) thick. Thicker stone slabs, or a slab plus an undermount sink rim in the same hole, will exceed that range and the shank won't pull down tight.
2) Do you have to get under the sink to refill this American Standard soap dispenser?
No. The 4503115 refills from above through the deck opening, so soap gets topped up without pulling the bottle or disassembling anything under the cabinet. That's what makes it workable in multi-family and commercial kitchens where the under-sink space is packed.
3) How far does the spout on the American Standard 4503115 reach over the sink?
The spout measures 3-1/4 inches (83 mm), so it projects out far enough to dispense over a sink rim or into a hand rather than onto the deck. Useful where the dispenser hole sits back behind the faucet.
4) What finishes does the American Standard 4503115 liquid soap dispenser come in?
Two: chrome (part number 4503115.002) and stainless steel (4503115.075). Order by that suffix to match the faucet already on the deck.
5) Is this American Standard soap dispenser durable enough for a high-traffic commercial kitchen?
The pump is a push-action, heavy-duty type built for frequent use, and the spout and escutcheon are solid brass, which resists corrosion where water and soap sit on the deck all day. That combination is what separates it from plastic-bodied deck dispensers in an MRO setting.
6) Can I put hand lotion or dish detergent in the American Standard 4503115 instead of hand soap?
Yes. The dispenser is built for liquid soap, detergent or hand lotion, with a 500 mL bottle. Handy in a break room or janitorial sink where the fill isn't always hand soap.
7) How much soap does the American Standard 4503115 hold before it needs refilling?
The supplied bottle holds 500 mL. In a busy opening that means frequent top-ups, but since it fills from the deck side, a housekeeper can do it without opening the cabinet.
