American Standard 355027.02 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the American Standard Lucerne wall-hung sink come with the wall brackets?
No. The Lucerne 355027 is built for exposed bracket support, and the brackets are supplied by others. You order the sink and source the exposed arm brackets separately, so budget for them and confirm the wall framing or backing can carry the load before rough-in.
2) What faucet will fit the Lucerne 355027 wall-hung sink?
It takes a 4-inch centerset faucet. The deck is drilled with faucet holes on 4 inch (102 mm) centers, so a centerset or a 4-inch minispread trim mounts directly. An 8-inch widespread faucet will not line up with that drilling.
3) Is the Lucerne exposed-bracket sink the same as the concealed-arm version?
No, and it matters at rough-in. This Lucerne is made for exposed bracket support, where the brackets are visible under the bowl and fasten to the wall. A concealed-arm carrier version hides the support inside the wall and needs a chair carrier set in the framing. If your drawing calls for a concealed carrier, this is the wrong version.
4) What is the American Standard Lucerne wall sink made of, and will it hold up in a public restroom?
Vitreous china. It is a glazed, non-porous surface that cleans with standard restroom chemicals and does not stain or absorb the way a coated material can, which is why the Lucerne shows up in commercial and institutional washrooms.
5) Do I need a faucet and drain with the Lucerne wall sink, or is anything included?
Plan on ordering three things beyond the china: a 4-inch centerset faucet, a lavatory drain suited to a basin with an overflow, and the exposed support brackets, which are by others. Supply stops and P-trap are separate as well.
6) Does water pool on the deck of the Lucerne wall sink?
The deck is self-draining, with a contoured back and side splash shields that carry water back into the D-shaped bowl. For high-traffic restrooms that is the detail that keeps standing water and mineral scale off the ledge.
