American Standard Prestige 71-1/2-Inch Height Framed Sliding Shower Door - AMS-AM00790436

Overall height is 71-1/2 inches (1816 mm), measured from the bottom track up. That is the assembled height sitting on your curb or tub deck, so add your curb height to check clearance against a shower valve, a window, or a soffit above the opening.

Yes. The Prestige door is built with a simple out-of-square adjustment in the wall jambs, so the frame can be set plumb even when the tiled walls lean. That is the normal condition in older multi-family bathrooms and remodels, and it is why a framed slider is usually the safer choice there over a frameless panel.

Two: Brushed Nickel (AM00790436.006) and Silver Shine (AM00790436.213). Silver Shine is the bright polished-look aluminum that matches chrome trim; Brushed Nickel matches satin nickel faucets and towel accessories. For a property manager standardizing across units, pick the one that matches the existing valve trim, since the frame is the largest piece of metal in the opening.

The Prestige slider uses safety tempered glass in both panels, which is what building code requires for glazing in a bathing enclosure. Tempered glass breaks into small blunt pieces rather than shards.

It is a framed bypass slider: two tempered glass panels ride in a track, so nothing swings out into the room. Choose a slider when the bathroom is tight and a hinged door would hit a vanity or toilet. Choose a pivot or hinged door for a narrow single opening where a bypass would leave too little clear entry width, since a 56 to 60 inch slider only ever gives you about half that as a walk-in.

No. Two bracketed towel bars come with the Prestige sliding door, mounted to the door panels. For hotel and multi-family work that removes a separate accessory line item and keeps the finish matched to the frame.

The Prestige is designed around an easy-to-clean bottom track, so the channel does not trap soap and grime the way a deep-recessed track does. That matters most in rental turnovers and institutional bathrooms where cleaning time per unit is the real cost.
