The Rondalyn is a self-rimming round sink with a nominal 19-1/8 inch (486 mm) outside diameter, and it ships with a cut-out template so you can mark the counter directly instead of working off a dimension. Cut to the template, drop the sink in, and the rim carries the weight on the countertop surface.

The Rondalyn is the basin only. You'll need to order the drain assembly, the faucet, the P-trap, and the supply stops separately to finish the rough-in. Because the bowl has a front overflow, specify an overflow-type lavatory drain, not a grid drain meant for a basin without one.

Only if the existing opening is round and smaller than the 19-1/8 inch rim diameter, since the rim has to fully cover the cut. Measure the current opening first. If the old basin was oval or the hole is larger than the Rondalyn's rim will cover, the top gets recut or replaced. Faucet drilling has to match too, at 4 inch centerset.

The bowl runs 15 inches (381 mm) wide by 12-1/8 inches (308 mm) front to back, which is a standard lavatory bowl footprint for a hand-wash station in an office, hotel, or multi-family unit. The front overflow keeps it from spilling over if a tap is left running, which matters in a public restroom where nobody is watching the basin.

A drop-in self-rimming bowl like the Rondalyn sets into a cut opening and the rim sits on top of the counter, so it works on laminate, solid surface, or a cultured top without any special edge finishing underneath. An undermount needs a stone or solid surface top with a polished cut edge. For a replacement in an existing vanity or a fast turn on rental units, the drop-in is the cheaper and quicker install because the rim covers the cut line.

It's a round bowl with a round 19-1/8 inch rim, tapered at the edges rather than a flat flange. The circular rim reads fine centered in a rectangular vanity top, but if you're replacing an oval self-rimming basin, the existing cutout will almost certainly not match a round 19-1/8 inch opening.

White is the single finish offered, ordered as part number 491019.02. If you're standardizing restrooms across a property, that keeps the spec simple, but it also means there's no match here if your existing fixtures are bone or biscuit.
