American Standard Seal Kit For Kitchen Spout - AMS-12244

The American Standard seal kit, part number 012244-0070A, is made for Heritage kitchen faucets in the 6270, 7230 and 7270 series. If your spout is one of those, this is the kit. It is a repair part only, not a complete spout.

That is exactly what these seals do. The kit holds the seals that let the spout swivel while staying watertight at the base, so a drip or weep where the spout meets the body when you rotate it is the classic symptom this kit addresses. Worn swivel seals do not stop water at the aerator, so if your leak is from the outlet rather than the base, you are chasing a different part.

Seals only. The American Standard 012244-0070A is a repair kit of three seals for a Heritage kitchen spout, with no spout tube, no aerator and no mounting hardware. If the spout itself is pitted, cracked or the finish is gone, reseal will not save it and you need a replacement spout instead.

Three seals come in the kit. That is the full set for one spout, so you do not need to order separate O-rings alongside it for a single faucet. If you are servicing several Heritage spouts in a building, order one kit per faucet.

This is a straightforward in-house repair. American Standard lists it as easy to install, and the job is shutting off the supply, pulling the spout off the faucet body, rolling the old seals off and the three new ones on. No soldering and no rough-in work. For a property manager with a stock of Heritage faucets, keeping a few kits on the shelf turns a swivel leak into a short service call.
