American Standard 710396-101.2130A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) I manage apartments with American Standard shower enclosures and the handles are broken. Is this the right replacement part?
This is the American Standard replacement handle set, manufacturer part 710396-101.2130A, for their shower doors. Pull the existing handle and check the mounting hole spacing and the door glass thickness against what you take off before you commit to a bulk order, since American Standard has run several enclosure programs over the years.
2) What finish does the American Standard 710396-101 shower door handle come in?
Silver Shine is the finish offered, a bright silver-tone look that reads closest to polished chrome next to existing shower enclosure hardware. It is the only finish this handle set is built in, so if your enclosure is brushed nickel or bronze it won't match.
3) Can I use this American Standard handle set on a framed shower door, or is it for frameless glass?
It is an American Standard shower door handle set and it mounts to whatever prep the original handle used on that door. Handles for framed enclosures typically thread into the metal stile, while frameless handles pass through a drilled hole in the glass, and those preps are not interchangeable. Match the mounting on the handle you are removing.
