American Standard Spectra Versa 24-Inch 4-Function 1.8 gpm/6.8 L/min Shower System With Rain Showerhead - AMS-102907

Yes. The Spectra Versa 24-inch shower system is built as a retrofit: it threads onto the existing shower arm supply and mounts the slide bar with adhesive tape and screws, so no tile has to be removed or drilled. It also works on renovations and new construction. The kit ships with a 15-inch shower arm, so the existing arm comes off and the new one goes on in its place.

Everything needed for the install except the valve: an 11-inch rain showerhead, a four-function 5-inch hand shower, a 24-inch slide bar with rotary diverter, a 15-inch shower arm, a 69-inch metal shower hose, plus adhesive tape and screws for mounting the bar. You supply the shower valve and trim.

They can. The rotary diverter built into the 24-inch slide bar has three positions: rain showerhead only, hand shower only, or both together.

The Spectra Versa is rated 1.8 gpm / 6.8 L/min and is WaterSense certified. That rating is the system flow, so running the rain head and hand shower together splits it rather than doubling it. If your spec calls for a 2.5 gpm shower, this is not the right pick; if you are chasing a water-efficiency target or a jurisdiction with a 1.8 gpm cap, it meets it.

Four sprays: Drench, PowerWash, Sensitive, and Massage. You switch between them with the Aqua Toggle lever on the 5-inch hand shower head itself, so it can be done one-handed mid-shower. The 11-inch rain head above is single-function drench only.

Five: Chrome (1029070000), Matte Black (1029072430), Legacy Bronze (1029072780), Brushed Nickel (1029072950), and Brushed Cool Sunrise (102907GN00). All components in the kit, head, bar, arm and hose, ship in the matching finish, which is what makes this easier to standardize across units than assembling the parts separately.

American Standard classes the Spectra Versa 102907 as a residential product. For apartment unit upgrades or hospitality guest baths it is a reasonable fit given the retrofit mounting and WaterSense flow, but for a high-abuse commercial washroom, a gang shower or a locker room, specify hardware rated commercial instead.

The slide bar is supplied with both adhesive tape and screws, so you can bond it to a surround where you do not want to penetrate the wall, or screw it where there is backing to hit. On a thin acrylic or fiberglass panel with no blocking behind it, the adhesive mount is the one to use.

The hose is 69 inches of metal hose, and the holder on the 24-inch slide bar is the Easy Glide type so the height and angle both adjust. That reach is enough to work a shower seat, rinse a tub, or bathe a child or pet without coming off the bar.

The system is listed at 10.185 lb with dimensions of 29.685 x 16.496 x 3.819. Worth knowing if you are staging multiple units for a unit-turn job, since a pallet of these stacks flat.
