American Standard M962812-0020A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is American Standard part M962812-0020A?
It's a replacement spout kit for an American Standard faucet, referenced as the 2590.900 spout kit. The orderable part number is M962812-0020A in chrome. You're buying the spout itself as a service part, not a complete faucet.
2) I manage apartments with American Standard faucets. Can I order this spout kit to fix a leaking or damaged spout instead of replacing the whole faucet?
That's exactly what it's for. The 2590.900 spout kit is a factory service part for American Standard faucets, so a cracked, pitted or damaged spout can be swapped without pulling the valve body or re-drilling the deck. Match it to the faucet model that calls out this kit, since American Standard spouts are model specific and are not universal across their faucet lines.
3) Will this American Standard spout kit fit any brand of faucet?
No. It's an American Standard service spout tied to the 2590.900 kit number, and it should only be used on the American Standard faucets that call for that kit. Delta, Moen, Kohler and other brands use different spout-to-body connections, so don't plan on cross-brand substitution here.
4) Does the American Standard 2590.900 spout kit come in any finish besides chrome?
Chrome only. The single orderable version is M962812-0020A in chrome, so if the other trim on the fixture is brushed nickel or matte black, this spout won't match it.
