American Standard M953690-0020A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Do I get the hose with the American Standard M953690 side spray, or do I have to order it separately?
Both come together. One side spray and one hose are in the kit, so a leaking or split spray hose and a worn spray head are settled with a single part number. Nothing else has to be added to make the spray itself work.
2) What finishes does the American Standard M953690 kitchen side spray come in?
Three, and each is its own part number: chrome is M953690-0020A, stainless steel is M953690-0750A, and legacy bronze is M953690-2780A. Match the finish to the faucet already on the sink, since a side spray sits right beside it and a mismatch is obvious.
3) Is the American Standard M953690 a plastic spray head or metal?
Brass body with a nylon braided hose. For a rental turn or a busy commercial kitchenette that matters, since the usual failure on a cheap side spray is a cracked plastic body or a rubbed-through hose jacket under the sink.
4) My side spray dribbles instead of spraying and the hose is wet under the cabinet. Is replacing the whole spray and hose the right fix?
That is what this part is for. The M953690 replaces the spray head and the hose as a set, which covers both common failures at once: a clogged or worn spray head, and a hose that has begun weeping at the braid or the connection. Buying them separately is not necessary here.
