American Standard Studio S Toilet Paper Holder - AMS-7105230

The Studio S paper holder is a residential-line accessory, part of American Standard's Studio S bath family. For a high-traffic public restroom, where you want a heavy-gauge stainless surface-mounted dispenser with a controlled-delivery or double-roll design, specify a commercial washroom accessory instead. The Studio S is aimed at homes, apartments, condo units, and hotel guest baths.

Four finishes, each with its own American Standard part number: Chrome is 7105230.002, Matte Black is 7105230.243, Brushed Nickel is 7105230.295, and Brushed Cool Sunrise is 7105230.GN0. The base model number 7105230 stays the same; the suffix is the finish.

Metal. That is the reason it weighs just under a pound (0.992 lb) rather than the few ounces a plastic-bodied holder runs, and it is what lets the arm take repeated roll changes without flexing.

It is built as part of the Studio S line, so the styling is intended to carry across the faucets, towel bars, and robe hooks in that family. If you are matching existing hardware, match on finish name as well: Chrome, Matte Black, Brushed Nickel, and Brushed Cool Sunrise are the four offered here, and Brushed Cool Sunrise is a warm gold-tone finish that will not pass for brushed nickel.

Yes, and it is the sensible way to buy it. The model number is fixed at 7105230 with only the finish suffix changing, so a property manager ordering for twenty units repeats one part number, for example 7105230.295 for Brushed Nickel, and every unit gets the same holder. Metal construction is the point for rental turns, since the arm is the part tenants break on plastic units.

It is sold as a complete holder ready to mount and American Standard calls it easy to install. On drywall with no blocking behind it, use suitable wall anchors at the mounting points; at a shade under a pound of metal plus a roll, anchors matter more than the fastener itself. Hitting a stud or existing blocking is better where the layout allows.
