1) Can I use this Townsend trim to replace worn trim without opening the wall?
Only if the existing rough-in is an American Standard Flash RU520 integrated shower diverter valve. The TU353740 is built for that valve body, and it ships with the M970787-0070A pressure balance cartridge so you can refresh the working parts at the same time. On any other valve body the trim will not mate up and the wall has to come open.
2) Can I run three outlets off this American Standard integrated diverter trim?
