The Ultima Selectronic touchless flush valve mounts to flushometer bowls with a 1-1/2 inch (38 mm) exposed top spud. That is the top-spud bowl connection, not a back-spud or a tank-type bowl, so check what your fixture has before ordering. Rough-in is 11-1/2 inches (292 mm) from the centerline.

This is a dual flush valve set at 1.28 gpf (4.8 Lpf) full flush and 1.1 gpf (4.2 Lpf) reduced flush. It will not deliver 1.6 gallons, so pair it with a bowl rated to clear at 1.28 gpf. Putting it on an older 1.6 gpf bowl that was engineered around the higher volume risks poor evacuation and double flushing, which throws away the water you saved.

Battery powered, with an 8-year CR-P2 lithium battery installed in the valve from the factory. No conduit, no transformer, no electrician. That is what makes it the practical choice for a retrofit where you are replacing a manual handle valve in an existing restroom and there is no power at the fixture.

Two protections on the Ultima Selectronic. It has a fully mechanical manual override that operates with no power at all, so staff or a tenant can still flush the fixture with a dead battery. And it is fail-safe: the valve closes automatically on loss of power or loss of water pressure, so it will not sit open and flood or run continuously. For a property manager running unattended restrooms, those two together are the reason to specify a sensor valve at all.

The 6065721 is a piston-type valve. Piston operation is the one to pick where water quality is hard or dirty, since a diaphragm's flexible membrane is what typically fouls and causes run-on. This one also carries American Standard's DynaClean wiper spring, which is integral to the valve and scrubs the refill orifice on every single flush specifically to stop run-on. If your building already has a service history of valves running continuously, that is the feature that addresses it.

The valve body uses a proprietary brass alloy that resists dezincification, which is the failure mode where zinc leaches out of ordinary yellow brass in aggressive or high-chloride water and leaves a porous, crumbling casting behind. If you are on well water, softened water, or a system that has chewed through standard brass trim before, that alloy is the material difference worth paying for.

Toilet, or water closet. The 1.28/1.1 gpf dual flush volumes are closet volumes; urinal flushometers run far lower. Ordering by the 6065721 number gets you the closet valve, and it needs a flushometer-style bowl with the exposed top spud rather than a tank toilet.

Chrome, part number 6065721.002. It is a single finish, so if you are standardizing a floor of restrooms there is no finish decision to make and no risk of a mismatched valve arriving next to the ones already installed.

On the Ultima Selectronic the two volumes are 1.28 gpf full and 1.1 gpf reduced, and the sensor selects between them from how long the user is in front of it, which is what makes it hands-free with no button for the occupant to learn.
