Blanco 203439 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the Blanco 203439 basket strainer fit a standard kitchen sink drain opening?
It fits universal 3.5 inch drain openings, which is the standard kitchen sink drain size. If your sink bowl is drilled for a 3-1/2 inch drain, this drops in. It will not suit a 2 inch bar or prep sink opening.
2) What color is the Blanco 203439 strainer and what sinks does it match?
Soft White. It is color-coordinated to match Blanco SILGRANIT sinks, so the strainer blends into the bowl rather than showing a chrome ring. If you are outfitting multiple units in a building, order the strainer color to match the sink color you already specified.
3) Can the Blanco 203439 hold water in the bowl, or does it only strain?
Both. The open/close design seals the drain tight when you need to fill the bowl, and opens to let water drain while still catching food scraps. That is the working difference between this and a fixed strainer basket that only filters.
4) Is this Blanco part a sink grid or a drain strainer?
It is a basket strainer that sits in the drain opening, not a bottom grid that protects the sink floor. If you are looking for the stainless rack that lays in the bowl, that is a separate accessory.
5) Is the Blanco 203439 easy to clean out for a rental or high-traffic kitchen?
The basket lifts straight out for rinsing and cleaning, no tools. Metal construction under the color finish, so it holds up to daily scrap removal in multi-family or hospitality kitchens.
