Blanco 440004 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the Blanco 440004 stopper fit my garbage disposal?
The Blanco 440004 disposal stopper fits disposals with a 3.5 inch inside diameter only. If your disposal flange opening measures anything other than 3.5 inches inside, this stopper won't seat correctly. Measure the inside of the disposal opening before ordering.
2) Does the Blanco 440004 work with InSinkErator disposals?
Yes, the 440004 is stated to fit InSinkErator disposals, which use the 3.5 inch inside diameter opening this stopper is built for.
3) Is the Blanco 440004 a disposal stopper or a basket strainer for a standard drain?
It's a disposal stopper, meant to drop into the flange of a garbage disposal with a 3.5 inch inside diameter. It is not a basket strainer assembly for a plain 3-1/2 inch sink drain with a tailpiece. If your sink bowl has no disposal, you need a strainer basket assembly instead.
4) What is the Blanco 440004 disposal stopper made of, and will it hold up in a commercial kitchen sink?
It's stainless steel, the same material family as Blanco's stainless sinks, so it resists corrosion from standing water and sink cleaners in daily use. Stainless also means it won't discolor the way a plastic or rubber stopper does over time.
5) Will a stainless steel disposal stopper look right in a SILGRANIT sink, or only stainless sinks?
Blanco makes these strainers and disposer stoppers to complement both its stainless steel and SILGRANIT sinks, so the stainless finish is intended to work in either. The 440004 ships in a single Stainless Steel finish, there is no color-matched granite version of this part.
